Born the son of a preacher, Danny Cosby grew up in the church, singing and participating in music from a very young age. At 18 Danny started singing in rock bands and he also started experimenting with drugs. By 23 he was in the lowest of his addiction, “speedballing” heroin and meth, stealing to finance his addiction. He found himself strung out, broke, homeless and walking the streets of Memphis. He wound up in a homeless shelter where he re-dedicated his life back to the Lord. It wasn’t long after, his stint as a thief caught up with him and he was arrested. Danny did a total of 4 years (2 in Tennessee and 2 in Mississippi). While in prison Danny sang in the worship band and helped bring many men to the Lord, including gang members. Today, Danny sings in some of the largest churches in the Mid-South and he goes in prisons, homeless shelters, sober-living houses, support groups, churches and schools preaching the Gospel, singing and giving his testimony.
